Survival isnot enough.
Why Children of Heaven exists, and the future we are working toward.
What happens after the headlines move on?
When war or persecution reaches a family, the world's attention is usually on the emergency: the first meal, the first night of shelter, the first stitch.
That help matters enormously. But for the child who has lost a home, a school, a parent's income or a limb, the emergency is only the beginning. What comes after, the months and years of rebuilding, is where too many families are left to navigate alone.
Families fleeing danger face legal systems they don't understand, costs they can't afford, and the risk of being exploited by people who promise what they cannot deliver. Children who survive serious injury need far more than a single surgery. Parents who reach safety still need a way to earn a living. And children who carry trauma need more than to be told they are safe.
Children of Heaven was created to stand in that gap: to connect families with the right people at the right time, to help pay for what stands in the way, and to keep walking with them until they can stand on their own.

We don't want to simply help people survive what happened to them. We want to help them build what comes next.
Children are not victims.
They are futures.
Dignity first
We see children as human beings with gifts and futures, never as fundraising props. Their safety comes before their story.
Independence is the goal
Success is a family that no longer needs us. Every program is designed to move people from survival to stability, then independence.
Creativity is power
A child's art can be a voice, a healing practice and a real source of income for their family.
Honest, lawful help
We never make promises we cannot keep. We connect families with qualified professionals and lawful pathways only.
Together, not alone
No single organization can meet every need. We bring the right partners together around each family.
Protection by design
Privacy, consent and safeguarding are built into everything we do, including this website.
From survival to independence.

- A Future
Children and families affected by war, persecution and crisis.
Our work is guided by need rather than geography. Circumstances differ from one country to another, as do the risks families face and the assistance available to them. We connect people with appropriate humanitarian, medical, legal and community-based support according to their individual circumstances.

Every crisis is different. Every family is different. We work with trusted organizations, qualified professionals and community partners to provide practical assistance, connect families with appropriate services, and support longer-term recovery and independence.
